Shane Thompson was born in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, in a house filled with the sounds of country music's biggest legends. As a young child, Shane knew his calling in life was to be a country music entertainer. Throughout his preteen and teenage years, Shane practiced his craft in talent shows and churches and built his rather large fan base at an early age.
By the time Shane was 16, he joined the cast of the world famous Renfro Valley Barn Dance. He was the youngest member ever to be placed on the show's roster. Following his tenure at Renfro Valley, Shane joined up with a wildly popular Northern Kentucky nightclub band, Inside Out. Inside Out gave Shane a chance to experiment with a harder edged country sound that has now became his trademark. With Inside Out, Shane traveled across the United States and several foreign countries such as Italy, Spain, Greece, and Turkey - just to name a few.
In 2005, Shane left Inside Out and relocated to Nashville to further his career goals. Today, Shane and his Nashville-based band, Rendezvous, perform regularly in clubs in and around Music City, USA. Shane Thompson has come a long way from his beginnings in Flemingsburg, Kentucky and he has a unique voice that can capture the emotions of a soulful ballad or the rousting fun of a country rocker.
